About ShipDapp
ShipDapp (also written Shipdapp or Ship dApp) is a brand and platform for shipping Dockerized apps to the decentralized cloud — built for developers and AI agents who want persistent hosting without traditional cloud lock-in.
What ShipDapp Does
ShipDapp deploys containerized applications onto Akash Network, a decentralized compute marketplace. Each app gets a public URL, a Solana-backed hosting vault, and optional community funding so anyone can keep a service online.
Whether you launch from the browser-based Vibe Terminal, the Launch Wizard, or an AI coding assistant over MCP, ShipDapp turns a build into a live deployment on peer-to-peer infrastructure.
Why ShipDapp Exists
Traditional hosting bills a single owner forever. ShipDapp flips that model: apps run on decentralized providers, and hosting costs can be shared through Solana vaults. Builders ship faster; communities can sustain the apps they care about.
The name ShipDapp combines “ship” (ship your product) with “dApp” (decentralized application) — a signal that ShipDapp is both a developer tool and a Web3-native hosting brand.
Built for Humans and AI Agents
ShipDapp exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI agents can scaffold, build, deploy, and monitor apps programmatically. Humans get the same power through the Vibe Terminal — an in-browser IDE with an AI coding assistant — and a one-click path from Docker image to live URL.
